If We Are Common Players – Micropoetry

If we are but common players

To strut and fret our worldly hours

Let’s dance, laugh, eat, cry, speak

To make our hours uncommon


I’ve been reading Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” today, and I’ve borrowed from “Macbeth” and it shows in today’s poetry*

  1. Time seems so common when the players are not. It’s interesting to reverse this theory.
