A Little Prompting #17

Welcome to another week of A Little Prompting.

I didn’t quite manage to reach the deadline of the comp I wanted to sub to. Not a problem as there will be another opportunity later in the year. It will give me a chance to work over my idea thoroughly and address the issues my beta reader gave me to mull over.

How has your creative life been travelling? Mine’s doing well. Currently working on a short story with aim to sub it for a comp with a May 31 deadline. I need to get cracking.

A Little Prompting #14

Many apologies for the lack of prompts last week. There are many excuses possible; some fanciful, some hyperbolic, some completely fictional.

In truth, it was my wife’s birthday so that will be the focus of this week’s prompts.

THEME Birthday
RANDOM LINE PROMPT She waited patiently for her father to pass the silver mixing bowl and purple rubber spatula so she could feast on the streaks of cake mixture left inside.

A Little Prompting #4

Welcome to the fourth A Little Prompting.

Are you finding some good ideas? What is inspiring you?

When I am compiling the prompts, the focal point could be the theme, the sensory suggestion or a quote. In this case, it’s the song. The groove and quiet delivery of the vocals that intrigue me in this song. One of my favourites to hear on the radio  when I was growing up.

THEME Isolation
RANDOM LINE PROMPT She felt the coolness of the vinyl bench seats warming to human contact.
